Founded in California in 2005, Betabrand is a clothing retailer and manufacturer, as well as an online crowdsourcing platform for designing and creating fresh ideas in fashion, such as West Coast Workwear. With collaboration and input from a growing online community, Betabrand has funded nearly 100 different garments for men & women. The company’s products are available for sale both online and in their San Francisco retail store.

Production & design staff at Betabrand know that managing the quality of the garments they manufacture is key to customer satisfaction. Realizing the challenges of managing overseas suppliers, they sought support from InTouch to provide QC expertise at their Chinese facilities. With product specifications and requirements in hand, inspectors from InTouch’s Softlines Division conduct detailed & effective inspections and production monitoring. In some cases, InTouch verifies the quality of raw fabric used in manufacturing garments for Betabrand. But most importantly, these inspectors verify the quality of the finished garments prior to shipping, and send Betabrand timely reports to help their staff make educated decisions about shipping the goods.

Working with Responsible Suppliers

Aside from valuing product quality, Betabrand also strives to ensure they’re working with socially responsible suppliers. For this reason, they’ve relied on InTouch’s deep experience with social compliance audits to pre-screen potential suppliers prior to placing orders. This brings assurance to Betabrand’s staff and customers that their garments are being manufactured in a socially responsible manner.

Although Betabrand is continually introducing new designs and items, maintaining a high level of product quality and manufacturing ethics has never been easier with the professional oversight that InTouch continues to provide.
