Defective Samples and Apprehension

In 2009, when Mechtronics began to work with Chinese manufacturers to augment their production capabilities, they had concerns about the Chinese suppliers’ ability to accurately understand their requirements and produce product to their high quality standards. After receiving the first round of samples for their initial China-based project they realized that their fears were not unfounded. The materials and design specifications were not met.
 
Mechtronics became concerned about the manufacturing processes being used by the factory.
