Founded in 1997, TMGTV is an award-winning media production company and television station. They also source direct response products globally for live shopping buyers and distributors. TMGTV Inc. is part of the Metroland Media group and is a subsidiary of Torstar.
TMGTV has a high requirement for the quality and packaging of their products. They enlisted the help of InTouch to inspect their product packaging and provide quality solutions to make sure their products could make it from factory floor to customer warehouse without damage.
The InTouch EffectTMGTV had some concerns over assortment packaging, such as ensuring the quality and accuracy of packaging and artwork. In response, InTouch designed inspection criteria and checkpoints to verify this issue, which included both during-production and final inspection. The during-production inspection offered the client insight via pre-checking before the goods were 100 percent completed. This gave TMGTV enough time to inform the supplier and gave the factory enough time to correct any deviations from spec.
During final inspection, goods were pulled in a larger sample size and checked to make sure the right products were packed in the right packaging and ready for shipping. This gave TMGTV peace of mind, knowing their product would meet expectations when they received it at their distribution centers.
