Rig, Drill Pipe and Tubular Inspections

China Oil and Gas

Our highly specialized, NACE/SSPC/FROSIO certified auditors are capable of determining the condition of your existing equipment, as well as monitoring the production of new equipment, such as OCTG (casing and tubing) and line pipe, drill pipe, drill collar, sucker rod, stainless steel pipe. During inspections, every inch of your equipment is scrutinized using the latest techniques to expose corrosion, fatiguing, substandard welds, wall-thinning, and cracks. All inspection criteria is designed to ensure compliance with API, ASTM standards (such as API SPEC 5CT, API SPEC 5B and API SPEC 5L) or your own specific requirements.

Rigs

Whether on- or offshore, rigs are the crux of Oil and Gas exploration and production. These often massive structures must be built, maintained, and evaluated using the highest quality standards in order to remain operational throughout their expected useful life. Depending on the size, location, and specific purpose of each rig; complex systems of pumps, degassers, centrifuges, and elevators must all work in unison to achieve a successful wellbore.

These case-hardened steel tubes are an integral part of any petroleum extraction process, as they facilitate the pumping of drilling fluid down into the well. Because they are meant to be removed from newly drilled wells and re-used to drill additional wellbores, it is crucial that all drill pipes are regularly inspected for structural integrity.

Tubular Systems

Virtually no system on a petroleum extraction site works in isolation. Connecting the drilling fluid vessels, centrifuges, pumps, and other systems is an often extensive network of various forms of tubing. As any failure in the tubular network could lead to loss of production, environmental disasters, or damage to other key systems, no lapse in quality control efforts can be tolerated in this area.
